- Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with young people and supporting participation in youth activities and programs. You will act as a point of contact for establishing connections with programs and services that young people require. You will also play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of events and activities that are delivered by the Youth Development Team.
This is a casual position that will work across a variety of youth hubs in Geelong.
Key responsibilities include:
Help deliver engaging activities that assist young people establish enriched connections at specific programs and events
Act as a point of contact in connecting individuals with appropriate people, programs and services by triaging enquiries.
In collaboration with the Youth Development Team, deliver engagement and connection programs to increase participation by young people from underrepresented cohorts.
- Requirement:
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in delivering and participating in Youth Programs and the ability to engage with a diverse range of people, and well developed communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly developed team of Youth Work professionals and establish strong connections in the field.
Essential:
Experience in youth engagement, or the delivey of programs within the community
Communication skills to effectively consult and facilitate cooperation between individuals and community groups for the purpose of education and community development programs.
Knowledge of the impact of discrimination of mental health
Qualification in Youth Work or relevant field, or experience in a similar role
Working with Children Check
